College Station Utilities offers cash rebates for whole system central air conditioning replacements with a 14 SEER or better rating. SEER stands for Seasonal Energy Efficiency Ratio and is the means by which air conditioning systems are rated for efficiency. The higher the SEER value, the more efficiently the system operates.

Bryan:

- Units eligible for rebates are those installed after January 1, 2012

- Both the condenser unit (outside) and evaporator coil (inside) must be replaced at the same time.

- Minimum of a 14 SEER unit must be installed

- Each individual unit installed must not exceed 5 tons or 60,000 btu's

- A minimum of 500 square feet must be cooled for every tone of A/C.

- Windo units and pre-fabricated homes are not eligible.
